This blog has nothing to do with myself, but with another photographer who need your prayers. I just got done reading Natalie's blog and her 8 week old son Gavin is in dire need of prayer right now. My heart goes out to Natalie and her entire family right now and I will continue to pray for them. This is part of what was written on her blog from today's post (Jan. 5th) describing what's going on with Gavin:

For Gavin to live, it will LITERALLY require a medical miracle.
We have been informed by doctors that he is BY FAR the most critical patient in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
They are researching medical reports and looking into performing some experimental procedures (because unfortunatly his condition is SO RARE there have not been studies performed to solidify the validity of what they're HOPING will work for him). In fact, as I write this post, they are trying an expermental plasmatic exchange that we're crossing our fingers will offer some kind of MEDICAL progress (beyond the progress we are praying for as a simple result of the hope and faith we have in God ).

So please, please pray for them.

So, it's getting closer and closer to Christmas and I CAN'T wait!!! :) I have all of my Christmas shopping done except for small things....so that's always exciting. Work is going good since being moved up to a shift (yay!!!), I'm still learning though. haha.

On to pictures now.......Drake and Lara are one of the cutest couples I've been lucky enough to photograph! Really though, they are the most adorable family EVER. :)

So I took pictures of my Aunt Danielle earlier this week in the FREEZING cold weather! :) However, we all managed to survive despite the cold and ended up with some really great pictures. :)

First off, let me start by saying that my little cousins (minus the oldest, Cole) hated me for taking their pictures. And I thought all the pictures I took would come out with either A. A goofy face or B. A "i want to shank you" face. :) But I was oh so happy when I started to edit and saw that I actually got some really good pictures despite two out of three cousins not wanting to be with me that day. So here they are!!! My amazing little cousins!

So I have to wake up at FOUR in the morning tomorrow for work. Yes, that's right..... F O U R in the morning!! Because at Starbucks, we like to open at the ass crack of dawn. :) Which, if you're wondering is at 5am. So before I go to bed super early, I thought I'd write something on muh little blog! I haven't had any sessions to blog yet, BUT I have some pictures from the Texas Careers graduation I can put on here! YAY!! Finally some pictures on here! hehe.

FOR THE LOVE WORKSHOP

So, I found out this morning that the For the Love Workshop is having a contest to win a trip to the workshop! This seems like such an AMAZING workshop and I will be doing everything I can to win this! :) See, when you're a broke college student you get VERY excited when things like this pop up!

Not only do you get to go to Tennessee, which looks BEAUTIFUL! But you get to learn from some amazing people!!! And what I look forward to most is this:

Every morning you go off on your own with just your bible, camera, and notebook and just soak in everything amazing God has put before you. Oh my gosh, can you even imagine being surrounded by beautiful green trees, big blue skies and hearing nothing but nature around you. I feel so....great...just thinking about it! I know I could do that here in Lubbock, however I don't think it's quite the same when you hear the traffic around you and you're in your own backyard. :)

So, I'm writing this blog for a chance to win the scholarship to go to For the Love Workshop. I can't wait!

So I just ordered my new business cards off of moo.com, where I got my first set of cards from and I can't wait for them to be here!!! They are the most kick ass cards ever. For real. So if you're in need of some amazing business cards, get on moo and get some!! :) I love how on the front of the card you can upload your pictures to be on there. Fun fun business cards :)

Have I mentioned lately how I'm addicted to the Tyra show? It's sad, really. I'm watching it now. On my dvr. Yeah, that's how sad it is. I dvr it to make sure I can watch it when I have time. :) It's so addicting!!! AHH!!

Last night was the night for Texas Careers Graduation, and as nervous as I was, I think I did pretty well. :) I'll have to post pictures up (finally!!!) once I edit them.

So it's supposed to rain tonight and tomorrow. I can't wait! I hope it does, it would be AHmazing. :) Can you believe October is passing so fast?! Christmas is literally right around the corner!! My favorite time of the year! I just wish Lubbock weather would stay cold!!

I'm watching The Biggest Loser right now, I must admit I'm addicted to this show!! I don't think I could do half of the things they do on here! But boy would it be nice to have someone there telling me what to do and what to eat to lose weight! Maybe one day I'll actually use my Bodyworks membership I have......hehe.

Sorry for the lack of plot in the blog post by the way. Didn't have one thing specifically I wanted to write about. :)

So the weather in Lubbock is FINALLY getting chilly! I love it! I can't wait for winter and I just got a new jacket today and can't wait to wear it. Cause I'm a nerd like that :)See...isn't it cute?

In other news, I was asked to take pictures for the Texas Careers College graduation on the 23rd and I am so excited to do it!!! This will be the first time I've done something like this and I'm so nervous yet so excited for this opportunity! Wish me luck! hehe.

Ok, so I have yet to watch the VMA's [ true blood finale was on tonight!! :) ] however, I just looked on Perezhilton.com, which by the way, I hate to admit i'm addicted to...but anyways, I saw that Kanye West took the stage while Taylor Swift was giving a speech and proceeded to grab the mic away and talk about how Beyonce should have won. HOW RUDE!! Really, I feel horrible for her. That's so disrespectful and she deserves every award she is given :)

So....on to other things.....

Only two more weeks (less actually) than Blink 182 in Dallas! Can't wait :) Also, I'm looking for a new point and shoot camera cause mine is about 4 years old, and can't decide on which one to get! I really really want the new canon powershot sd980. Hooooowever, I looked at the samsung duelview and that looks pretty spiffy!! :) I'm a Canon girl through and through so i'm skeptical to get a samsung!! Even if it's just my point and shoot camera. Ahh, decisions decisions!!

So, I entered a contest on BluDomains Blog and won a Hip Slip by Jessica Claire (www.shootsac.com) !!! How awesome is that?! Let me tell you, it's pretty dang awesome! :) That would be my goofy face that won on the bottom left. hehe. I was about to buy one when I saw that I could win one for free! It just about made my week. HAD to share this awesome news. :)

So I am counting down the days until I get to go to the BLINK 182 CONCERT!!!! I've seen them twice before when they were together & i'm just as exciting now as I was then! Possibly the most amazing band of all time, that I've been in love with since I was like, 10!!! haha. Anyways, just thought I'd share this amazing news.

Also, I can't wait to have a big fancy blog. Like, Jasmine Star and Stephanie Fay. :D One day....one day. hehe.

So, I said I'd be posting at least 3 times a week and that hasn't happened. Even if I'm the only one reading this....hehe. So Tech starts Thursday (if it hasn't already started) and I must say, it feels good taking a semester off from school. I'll be working full time and hopefully will be a shift soon at Sbux. Ooooooh yeah. :D

So since I don't have much photography to put on here just yet, I'm going to write about my personal life. For instance, Discovery Channel. I love it. All these shows seem to almost be the same. Like Deadliest Catch and Swords: Life on the line. Yet no matter the similarities I continue to watch them and love them. :)

College Degrees

So, I finally got my degree in from SPC. I now have proof that I do in fact, have a Associate of Arts degree. :) Yay! I didn't think I'd be too excited about it, being that it's not a degree in photography, just a general studies degree, however I won't lie....it's pretty exciting! And on top of that, I'm about to go take pictures of my little cousins! My aunt and uncle are in town from Dallas, so, HELLO!, perfect time for me to get some practice in on my amazing little cousins. :) So that means I'll have a photo post up soon! :D Can't wait!

Ok, so I'm promising myself that I'm going to update this blog AT LEAST three times a week.
